RELAY FOR LIFE RECAP

Relay for Life was Friday night. We came through in full effect, with 45 people coming out and repping the new TUSC shirts. We blew all the other clubs minds, they had no idea what was going down. TUSC was walking with boomboxes, beachballs, and skateboards til 4am. We have raised $3420 so far, with more money out there.

TUSC EU Edition PART 1

I could go one for days with images from this trip. "Unfortunately" I have been stuck here studying in Rome this semester...where there is no snow. But I managed to make the 10 hour bus ride to Cervina, Italy. The resort borders Switzerland and Italy, and for 10 euros (about $13) more you can ride in both countries. For the days we were there, the swiss side was shut down due to high winds and avalanche warnings which were at 4 out of 5 on the Italy side too. As for the riders, these people are lame as hell. Almost no one boards, everyone is wearing skin tight gear, and from what I saw no one knows how to throw down. So much opportunity and I saw no one taking advantage of it. The back country was incredible. 3-4ft of fresh powder everywhere. Cliffs and natural hits all over the place. I recommend this trip to everyone who has the chance to take it. The season is pretty much year round, and a plane ticket will run you around $600. The lift tickets are the same as home and you can ride for weeks without ever touching the whole mountain. TUSC owns the alps SON!...

STEAMBOAT SPRINGS

Spring Break- a time for drunken days and nights in the heat at some trashy resort in FLA or Mexico.
Not if your a snowboarder. You look at Spring Break as a chance to ride in some abnormally warm weather and savor those last days of riding.

Well, thats what I think.

I went to Steamboat Springs, CO with my brother Sean and roommate Scott Fender for some late season for some Club Expansion Research.
And we killed it. Got 11 inches Tuesday and shredded every bit of it, ripping up some serious Tree Runs that would make you shit your pants. We found every cliff drop, spine, anything to pop off. it didn't hurt that it was like 45 degrees out, not a cloud in the sky, etc.

Here's some shots from our trip. Be Jealous.

Got shots of you snowboarding on Spring Break?? Send em on over at tusc@temple.edu and if their gnarly, we'll throw em on the blog.

-Guido

p.s. we've got some fun planned the next couple weeks don't miss the meeting next monday

STOKED

Scott throwing it out to the side. First time in the 'boat, and He was going huge on the sticks all week.

We found this pillow, so you know I had to slay it

Sean did not have the same luck.

the sky is THAT blue.

Sean, throwing the biggest method board slaps ever documented.

My baby method. The next shot in this sequence I tweaked that bitch hard.

THIS WEEK IN TUSC

This week has been pretty hectic. Last week before Spring Break is always packed with essays, midterms, limited amount of sleep, way too many hours in the tech center, and so on. The week started with hopes of large amounts of snow on Sunday, we had a pretty sick bake sale Wednesday too. Thanks to all who baked, or hung at the table. We raked in over $70 for relay for life. SPeaking of, you better sign up, your not going to want to miss this. We have 44 people signed up already, and over $1000 raised. WE CORPORATE. Everything we do is big.
